Dinner at Porto Vino, Mari's bday 09

We tried the Porto Vino at Venetian last night for Mari's birthday this year. Not bad! The seafood is very fresh, and we are all very content with a nice meal of good food. What could be merrier to be able to sit down with some old good friends from high-school enjoying a relaxing night and good food?

Jen showed us her biceps from holding up her little boy who runs around every day and getting more energetic. He is learning to speak right now making all the funny sounds, so cute! We are so unaware of the time until we see the little one growing up quickly.

Ages ago I heard a report saying Tommy Hilfiger made a comment on radio saying his clothes were designed for white people only, stirring up some angers and protest online (but I am not sure if it's true or not).

Not very long ago I listened to the interview of Vivienne Westwood, and she was challenged with similar questions asking her if she wouldn't want anyone to wear her designs because she thought they ruined the designs, and she answered the question very smartly, " There's no one shouldn't wear my designs because I think I can always cut the clothes better to improve the outlook of a person (not exactly her own words, similar meaning)."

It is the wisdom of language. She deserves to be the Queen of Punk!!

I am a faithful fashion pilgrim, but I still find Mr Wilde's quotation very enlightening. Why on earth we girls like to stick so many stuff on our faces before we walk out into the street? Sometimes fashion is really strange, I can't figure out why in the Elizabeth time people would reckon the Venetian Ceruse was attractive.

I don't need your opinion. I am an individual with an independent mind, good enough to make my own choice. I should know what will make myself happy; your forcing of thoughts into me can only lead to vigorous repulsion. Be strong, and I will be able to brave any sadness and brutality throwing at me. Oh haven't written anything for a very long long time le.

it has taken me quite a while to get the internet connected at home. Simply my inefficiency.

Home is so nice, mum and dad are sweet. of course there is also kenny.

however, i am being very crossed with the CTM website at the moment, and has been crossed with it for several times. It is such a crap website, it has a lot of things, and you can never find what you want. I just want to change my password for my user account!!!! They said on the leftlet with the enclosed letter " to change your password, please visit www.CyberCTM.com", then all I get is this so-and-so "Area for Exchange, For your blog, For making friends, For holding up your local community, For your CTM email account." Jesus!!!! Where is the "For your password"!!

Giving me the impression that it is only for fun and can do nothing worthwhile.

The other day I just want to place an order for my new Mac. Guess what, the link buttons jump all over the place that you can never get what you have seen a minute ago.l

Talking about Mac, I am sorry but I feel so sorry for the general public here. I went down to the shop and place my order, the staff there said to me," It is only a monitor, no CPU." That is exactly why I want to buy it, Genius! The CPU is in the monitor ALREADY! I just feel that, if he works in a telecom shops that sells computer and mobile phone, at least he would take a little interest in what they are selling just in case their "professional" help is needed for their customers.

You know why I feel Macau is really still so insufficient in everyway. It is the people, not how much money the city makes. Why are they so not eager to learn?

If it is not the monopolyized organization!! Wei wei, David, I am waiting for you to set up an opponent company in Macau.

Anyway, I 'd better get back to search for where the hell to change my password before I lose that little bit of paper containing this impossible-to-remember password.

Happiness is round the corner

I feel horrible that there is rarely a smile on my face recently. Writing thesis is still going on, and I am not happy with it. As a result I always show my stressed face to Tony. Tony is very understanding. Thanks brother. I wish to learn to "take it easy" and relax a little bit more. Whether it is implying my lack of talents or patience or not, as Frankie says, happiness is just round the corner, just stop doubting about oneself.

This set of numbers, symbols, figures, drawings, or arabic numeric system, whatever...why is it so unfamiliar to me?

Life is like on a hold and yet progressing at the moment for me, or is it?

I don't feel that time is passing at the speed it is, but definitely it is; I try not to grow up but when hearing people having babies, am I left behind?

I...er...want to be like Maggie Cheung, glamourous and carefree and rich. How does she do that?

If we are born into what we are...? Is there an invisible track we are moving along?
So it is pointless to burrow into misery and falling into the trap of being too sympathetic to oneself, because things won't change, no matter how hard you thought you can try getting an answer by thinking it over and over again.
So, perhaps a better strategy of life, is the exploit the happiness that you find in things giving you pleasure. Take time to enjoy. Embrace sorrow, you are allowed to be sad, but do not remember them.
I am not a very happy person, and I probably enjoy being not happy. Life is never perfect, and we are perfectionist. Is it just me, or are we all in the same boat?

Anyway, Merry Xmas. I had a lot of lovely Xmas celebrations already, so it doesn't matter now the actual Xmas is just another ordinary quiet day. In fact, I am looking forward to spend it calmly with Andrea, she is a nice lady, and a good cook. Mum and Dad, I miss you, although we are not Christian and celebrating Jesus's birthday is not too much our customs.
